Behind the Shadow: Book Two begins twenty years earlier as the ethereal Emanuel Shepherd touches the lives of both Valencia and Stefan. This creates a connection between the two that Emanuel hopes will be used for good. Beyond the Dream: Book Three follows two timelines. In one timeline, Emanuel’s death and Paul’s rejection plunge Valencia into utter despair. When she reconnects with Stefan Moal, she sinks deeper toward the dark abyss. The second timeline begins on the eve of the revolution, just after the end of In the Light. Stefan imprisons both Valencia and Mary as he grapples with restoring the country to what it was before the Church. Valencia struggles to survive solitary confinement as Mary discovers how to become who she is destined to be.
Out of the Dark: Book Four begins at the end of the second timeline in Beyond the Dream. Valencia and Mary must escape their imprisonment if they are to finally fulfill their destiny to usher in a new era of peace and love for all of humanity.
